Replacement windshield wipers?
I bought 2 pairs of Tricos last week:
On my E-500 they are noisy, but clean good: An irritating kind of sgueegee noisy is there at all times, low and high speed, heavy or light rain.
Not sure if the windshield got waxed on last car wash and if that makes a difference...?
On my wife's Ford the Tricos are quiet, no issues.
Hoping the noise will go away after the blades are "broken in"...

There seems to be good consensus on the Trico NeoForm(16-2112 & 16-1912) but has anyone tried the Trico Force (25-210 & 25-190)? The only difference seems to be the blade coating NeoForm with the Teflon and Force with the "HiGlide". Also the Force is rate to 135mph cross winds from passing trucks and such.
I have to give a thumbs down to the Trico Neoform blades.
The best blades were definitely the OEM that lasted me 35K.
After reading this forum, I bought Trico Neoforms from Wipers123.com. They lasted only 1000 miles in the Northeast USA weather before one of them started squealing unbearably. I thought I purchased a dummy set, so I purchased a second set of Trico Neoforms from Amazon. These lasted only 4000 miles before started to squeal again! I finally threw these out. I will never buy Trico again. They are cheaper but not worth it.
I bought Rain-X from Amazon and they have lasted about 10000 miles so far. They are starting to show their wear by not clearing all the water clearly, but they do not squeal!
Anyone recommend any other brands?

There are none that will last more than a year or so. Being out in the elements the material just doesn't cut it no matter whose they are. It is not that they are difficult to change.
Are the correct sizes for a 2013 GLK 21" (driver) & 19" or 22" (driver) & 19"??
It seems the sizing tool offered on the Trico website suggests the former, but the Rain-X, Bosch websites the latter? And I assume the wipers are identical between the 350 and 250 (which is what I drive) - asking because per Advanced Auto Parts the Rain-X Latitude shows up when I searched under the 350 but not the 250......strange.
Any help would be appreciated!

Go with stock MB wipers. I tried rainx and trico wipers - they were crap. The stock are the best and not much more expensive. Also don't use rain-x on the windshield, it kills the wipers.
I have the C250 and my windshield wipers have also chattered from first use. they changed the wipers once but they still don't work, and Mercedes is writing it off as "environmental issues."
Were you able to resolve your problem with aftermarket wipers?

I manually slide the wiper arms to the upright position every time I clean the wash the car. I just make sure the setting of the wiper inside the vehicle is on the auto position and the car is not running. It just glides freely and I notice that if it is on the off position I won't be able to slide the wiper arms. I haven't tried this on other GLKs but you can always try.
Just buy the OEM blades. Those are way better than aftermarket.

If you're adamant on spending big $$ on OEM... why not spend the same $$ on a better blade? Check this Company out...

I purchased blades for all our (4)cars 4 years ago and it was the best move ever! These units will outlast anything else out there, cleaning the screen smoothly, each and every time! As I'm down south at the moment, ordered up a set for the GLK. (FB119,FB122), fit the same as OEM, but run quiet! They are made of some kind of silicone, and will not break down to UV, etc. Much pricier than a conventional blade, but they are worth it.
Note, search internet for coupons... usually 15% and free shipping, makes it even better. I have no affiliation with this company but my entire family thinks these are the best product ever!

I bought Bosch online (40bux a pair). They look almost identical to OEM but 20 dollars cheaper. Im yet to use them. I'm very happy with OEM wipers as long as you dont use rainx and clean your windshield periodically.
I just got the Trico ones on amazon...they have them there for $4 each $14 after shipping...couldn't pass up that deal.

Silbade - >>good to know > might need a set soon on my GLK250 , as Passanger side has a annoying "line" from a DEAD BUG. Now cannot rid that after lots of wipes and washing that rubber!

See their website only has items for GLK250 - 2013 model > wonder if 2014 is same ones?

I compared them with OEM side by side and noticed that...
1. The length of the Driver-side wiper on 2013 GLK250 is definitely 22"
2. The pin hole position on Bosch ClearAdvantage wipers DOESN'T match OEM's, therefore OEM wipers are positioned higher on the windshield, better matching its curvature.
Therefore I advise everyone to first compare both the length and the pin hole position on any aftermarket wipers they purchase.

The Costco blades worked great for about a month here in Miami Florida where it rains almost daily...after that, they made a constant rubbing noise...still worked fine, just no where near as smooth as the OEM blades...go figure.
Switched back to the OEM blades and they have worked like a charm for 2 months now...the previous OEM blades lasted me nearly a year. So I would reconsider the OEM wipers if $50 seems too much...it may actually not be when considering how many times a year you regularly change your blades.
You also can't beat having that little tri star logo on it! 💩
