Need to know - 215 65 17 winters for GLK
Folks - I need to buy winters and the fellow at Simply Tire Toronto is pushing 215 65 17 becuase they don't have 235 60 17 -
is that cool or not? Michellines + Alloy approx $1350
Is it ok for me to use 215 65 17

They would probably work fine. But the taller you go and the narrower, the more your great handling is diminished.
That's a lot of $$ too. You can get a package shipped in from Tire Rack for that, in the right size, with your pick of custom wheels, all mounted and balanced and everything.

Thanks for the advise folks! I went to Costco in Markham and the fellow mentioned that I should stick to 235 50 R19 for winters! Its too much $$ - hence I am going to still look for 235 60 R17!
He mentioned something about hub centric - what on earth is that; I want to pick the set (tire + rims) in Toronto
