Tail Gate Problem
It’s been over a week, so I feel the need to ask another of those questions folks don’t seem to like. I went out to get something from the cargo area. Pressed the tail gate button and the gate came up about 5 inches and stopped. Pressed the key again - the gate lowered but did not engage the lock. I pressed buttons like I would have no more chances and the gate opened fully and closed well. I tested it several times - all OK.
Then, the same thing happened latter in the day. The manual is little help. So, do I first need to press the unlock button? Or do I have a faulty opener?

It is a programming problem that MB can take care of. You will need to make it happen for them at the dealer. Same happened to me at the dealership and they told me they can fix it by reprogramming the rear hatch. I have to bring it in to them for the fix.
