i just picked up a glk. sorry for the new question but what is locator lighting that i can enable and disable?

Although a guess that would not be a bad name for the light under the rear view mirror I didn't know you could enable or disable it.

Locator lighting works when you unlock the car with the remote, the headlights and exterior lights switch on and then switch off when you open the driver's door, or after 60 seconds or so.

When you lock the car, the head lights and exterior lights stay on for about 15 seconds.

This function works only in the dark, not in daylight.
and can be enabled/disabled in the settings menu.
