Rattling noise from cargo cover?
Rattling noise from cargo cover?
Hi all,
I've noticed that with my cargo cover open or closed I tend to hear rattling noises when I go over bumps on the road.
Do you guys have this issue? I feel like its gotten worse over time and it really bothers me because the rest of the car is quiet.
Has anyone been able to fix the issue without removing the cover?
Thanks.

One possibility when the cover is retracted -- make sure that you've pushed the bar with the handle up into the storage slots on the glides on the side of the cargo area . This puts some tension in the cover and this eliminates the rattle that I get if it is not properly stored when retracted.

Mine does rattle a bit when it is open so I just keep it closed; nice & quiet then.
slk55er makes a good point; make sure the whole unit is properly installed.

I never noticed those groves for when the cover is closed, that did seem to make a difference. Thanks for the tip!
Although I travel with my laptop quite often and like to keep the cover closed. Any tips for this?

I think we are crosing terms.
By "closed" I mean the cover is pulled out to hide the cargo compartment.
Mine makes a small rattle when it is retracted since the end flops around a bit; when it is closed the end is engaged in the slots so nothing flops.
Does that make any sense?
