Buffeting

Driving about 40mph and ran the rear passenger side window down a few inches and got a severe buffeting in the car that felt like it would blow my ear drums out. What's up with that?

Also, where do you mount a front license plate?

The buffetting is typical in this and many other vehicles. You need to lower either the front window and the rear on the same side to give the air an entry and exit point or front on one side and rear on the other or combinations of sun roof and another window. You can experiment but that's is what you need to do. There should be a front mounting plate for the license plate if it did not get put on by the dealer and your state requires a front plate then they owe it to you.

Thanks again Ken. Great, another thing to argue with my a-one dealer about.

I've driven many types of vehicles including station wagons and minivans as company cars since 1956 and never noticed that before, but then I've never had power rear windows to lower before. A friend who just bought a little Ford something says his does it too.
