My most recent deal: 6.6k off. Thoughts?

Hey all!

Here is the most recent deal I was given. They gave me this price with essentially 0 haggling. The price includes a winter certificate and something else they didn't mention. I'm self-employed and do not count in any employee pricing/fleet discount.

'12 GLK 4 matic.

MSRP: 43,635
Neg: 37,000

P1, COMAND, Heated seats

NO conquest or loyalty.

30 months / 15k Year
Monthly: $472 including tax
Residual: .62%
Money Factor: .00165 (marked up by .00030)
Due at signing: 2000 (DMV, first months, acquisition fee, window etching)

I don't want to pay for the etching of the VIN's, or pay for the inflated money factor. I called 10 different dealerships and they either thought the deal i was given was either bogus or I was misinformed (one dealership even said "you are crazy" and i refrained from saying something nasty). One sales manager was super nice and patient and agreed to give me the vehicle at the Neg. price of 37,000 and no window etching and a MF of .00155...but it requires a 350 mile round trip. No dealer I've found will give me the money factor of .00135 (which is approximately a $20/month savings). I've been in touch with dealers in CT/MA/NY. Can anyone recommend a dealer which does not inflate MF's or is this is good as it gets?

I hope you guys dont mind I created a new thread since I figured it would generate more viewing traffic. Your comments below were much appreciated! Excited for the glk!

Thanks!!

It's still a Mercedes not a Freecedes.
14% off sticker is crazy even in a bad economy.

PenFed has 1.99% new car loans right now.
NWFCU has 1.49% new car loans over 36 months.

What does your effective rate for your lease offers come out to?

Its called robbing peter to pay paul, that is an absolute crazy deal on the front end but they are making up for it in the back, not a whole lot but enough to get the deal to balance. Also there is some factory cash in there, thats not all pure discount.

If you won't drive 350 miles for what appears to be closer to a legitimate deal, take the possible bogus deal.

Ya pays yer money and takes yer choice. Good luck.
