During delivery, when we actually got the real price to pay, I pulled out my USAA $1,500 discount paperwork. Our salesman said that our Volvos qualified for the $2,000 Conquest discount. I took Conquest for the extra $500. Then they offered us $1,300 in finance assistance, a.k.a. money toward the early payments.

What is "finance assistance"?

USAA - military would pull around 5-8K discount from MSRP from my research
USAA - non-military would have pull 2-5K discount depending on how crafty you are as a negotiator & how flexible the dealer is.
Conquest - is definitely a great incentive for competitor luxury drivers with no trade in needed

I got a quote from a dealer.
She offered me $6000 off MSRP plus $2000 conquest discount.
1.9%APR for 66 months, and she will make my first 2 payment.(<- I guess it is the finance assistance)
I wonder if I should take this quote or wait for December to get better deal.

Correct. M-B offers to give you $1,300 toward your payments if you finance. Naturally, there is some interest included in that $1,300 so you really get about $1,200 in real money. It all depends on how much $, how long and if you do automatic debit for the payments.
Go to www.usaa.com and find out if you qualify for membership. In a nutshell: Active military, honorably discharged military, immediate family of either of the first two ways. I'm in on both counts. As far as I know, you can't combine USAA & Conquest. If I am wrong, I got screwed.

Eeash - I never even asked them about MB Finance% & assistance cause I had a PenFed loan% I was happy going in & $6K off the MSRP from my USAA-like pricing.

Argh - left about $1300 on the table.

Do you know if the MB Finance Cash was initiated in November deal or prior?

No clue when the current stuff came about. We ordered on September 3 but took delivery on 19 November. We were offered incentives in force last Saturday. I know they have expanded the Conquest makes to include Volvo (about time), VW (Huh?) and Jeep (Doh?).

Don't beat yourself up about the finance money. We passed too. Way too much hassle and the nagging feeling there was a gotcha buried somewhere in the small print.

In Classic's favor, they were the ones who showed us how we could get the best deal. They could easily have taken the USSA $1,500 deal and stopped right there.

Seriously, I am not fretting cause the GLK is worth the $ paid.

After reading your post & then stumbling on some Edmunds E-Class finance discussions, it appears, MBF support has been going on awhile but even the dealers don't all know how to help themselves or the customers.

Both programs are certificate programs...one certificate program per sale so they CANNOT be combined.
