Thanksgiving, 2011: GLK photos
Are you saying that my front flaps are the non-running board, old sill design? As good as it gets until/unless M-B offers a redesign for the new sills? Just curious before I raise hell with the dealer & it's not their fault. Thanks!

It's sad, Park Place wanted 85 bucks per pair. I got from the website above, slight cheaper. Yay.
29,400 miles (49,000 kilometers).
Dropped car off for second A service.
Asked service manager to evaluate the tread left on the OEM Pirelli tires. Wear bars on 1 tire, wear bars close on 2 more & 1 tire was ok for now. I figured they were close to being replaced.
Got a loaner while they did the A Service. Service manager promised a quote on new tires. Mrs. Wayne & I went to lunch.
Service manager called. Tires were in stock. Price seemed ok considering the convenience factor & Mrs. Wayne doesn't like "iffy" tires. "Do it" says I.
So, we can add another data point to tire wear. 29,400 miles (with a few miles left if I wanted to push the issue) on the OEM Pirelli Scorpions. Not as good as many sets of Michelins on other cars in the past. About average compared to 3 sets of Scorpions on my Volvo XC70.
The best news: The GLK didn't arrive with Dunlops!
Zero problems with the GLK so far. Correction: A vacuum line was replaced in the first month. Since then: Nothing except scheduled maintenance.
