you southern boys sure are lucky you have those old-fashion movie drive-ins.....heck I wonder if there is such a thing in canada...watching a 70s movie in -1 degree weather....hmmm......

sexting....is that new? I bet that is considered way too discreet than seeing your car going up and down in the middle of the night and seeing your autoheadlamps re-adjusting every second of the action.

Well you can always have a custom headlight cover with suction cups....GLK with shades LOL!

Can't do that because you'd need heat then you'd get thrown out because your lights would annoy people.

Is that -1C?
Been there. Done that. Albuquerque. Winter. 1961 VW. Drive-in. That's as far as the story goes.

Who needs the car's heat when you've got the body heat??

I give up too. I just tested my 2004 Volvo XC70. No good. Engine on. Lights on. Bummer.

His 2019 RAM Cummins Turbo Diesel Laramie; Her's 2007 ML320 CDI P3; Mine BMW R1200R
Try this.
Dark out, engine on, light in Auto (A) so headlights are ON? OK, good.
Now turn the light switch two or three clicks to the left. (Standing individual light position, either L or R) ALL LIGHTS ARE NOW OFF! Good.

Enjoy the drive in movie. (if you are actually watching it.)

At my age there is nothing else to do. Staying awake is an accomplishment.

Basically why is any of this your business? I wish I had nothing to do but stick my nose where it doesn't belong.

Nothing helpful?
the answer was provided in the 2nd post of your thread.
It only took you like 2 pages of posts to finally put 1 & 2 together.

Hey if the car is beyond your limitations...

You asked what happens when I turn the switch to the silly standing lights position and I answered. If you realised I misunderstood what you asked a little clarification on your part instead of silence followed by stupid comments would have resolved the issue.

Go to your dealer. That's one of the things they can check out and set up for you. Probably free while you're waiting.
I miss drive-in's
