GLK help

Comparing the GLK 350 after less than a month to a Volvo XC70 Turbo after 8 1/2 years:
The GLK seems bigger outside than the XC70. The XC70 is WAY bigger inside in terms of luggage/cargo capacity.
V6 vs. Turbo 5: The Turbo feels quicker. That may have more to do with the transmission. The two are very close. The V6 has plenty of go. I'm spoiled by the response of the turbo 5.
Reliability: Too early to tell. The XC70 has been bullet proof. Hope the GLK is also.
Nit Picks: I am not pleased right now with the driver's seat cushion in the GLK. It doesn't seem to fit me right. The bottom cushion could use more padding.

#2: Volvo XC60; Safety and cargo space.
#3: BMW X3; It's a bimmer, and cargo space.
#4: GLK; Never, ever Mercedes-Benz another time (arrogance with regard to "follow up" / service).
A vehicle is an extension of yourself so be confident of yourself. Why would you let others tell you what to do?

Less expensive to lease than Q5 or X3 last time I checked. We have a van and a sports car so it's the perfect addition in the family.

What are your priorties in a vehicle? Tell us what you plan to do with the GLK. Maybe we can confirm/deny it's suitablility for your needs.

My wife is looking at 2010 or 2011 GLK's. I was disappointed to see that only take premium fuel - is that correct? I was about to buy one tomorrow and this has somewhat put me off.
I've read plenty of threads about its fuel economy and it all appears to be relative to the posters previous experiences.
Any input appreciated...
Thanks
Richard
I wouldn't use anything but premium fuel even if you have a benz, or audi or bimmer.
And with any V6 (at about 260hp) and 4000lbs body and 4WD, the fuel consumption is about the same. I don't see GLK is any worse or better than any of those other ones.
I got average 19 in the city and pretty much all in the city lolz. highway might push up to somewhere in 20s.. but haven't checked much..

Our second Merc now - I just believe in the excellent overal build quality of Mercedes.
2010 4-Matic
Capri Blue
Premium package (iPod kit, garage opener, pano sunroof, etc)
Sports package (20" rims)
Aluminum trim (apparently this was an option in 2010?)
Certainly pleased with it!
Have fun with GLK. If you spend too much time worry about the nickel & dimes operating it, you will have missed the point.
I had one as a rental car for about ten days a while back.
I'm not a "SUV Person," so to speak. I don't really like being up in the air. Just not something I'm used to, and the extra bit of Gs you feel around a corner from having the higher center of gravity.
However, for a SUV, it was a REALLY impressive car. The steering felt just like my C Class, and the 3.5 moved it along fine. It drove nice, and I loved that it was at least not overly big.
One thing I did like about it was the ground clearance for driveway entrances and whatnot.
If I did need a SUV, the ten days I had with the GLK, made it pretty clear what my choice would likely be. Nice car, and it seemed to be a good value.

I'm convinced that our cars run better and last longer on premium.
