Parktronic Retrofit on 2010 GLK?

Parktronic Retrofit on 2010 GLK?
Hi - my wife and I just purchased a used 2010 GLK350. Man we love this vehicle! Great options including backup camera, but doesn't have Parktronic installed. I've seen a couple posts on other sites claiming that people have retrofitted parktronic front and rear, but no details were included.
I have a couple questions:
1. Can it be retrofitted front and rear?
2. If so, does that include the LED readouts on the dash and in the back?
3. Does the GLK come prewired, such that retrofitting is more about adding the sensors and additional parts, or do I need to do wiring as well?
4. Any idea on what parts I would need?
Just curious. Id rank myself as an intermediate DIY when it comes to customizations and retrofitting, but not advanced.
Thanks in advance!

The cars are not pre-wired and everything has to be added, including controller, sensors, displays, etc.
However, that is pretty redundant since you have backup camera, which is FAR more reliable than sensors that often miss items (I see it every week in our shop). If you want a front camera too, that can be done for much less money than a retrofit.

I don't blame you for wanting this feature, my 2012 has it and I must say, I thought when I first got the GLK at Christmas time this was not going to be feature I would use much, but now I realize how helpful it is, especially when backing up (I don't have the camera). You could always ask the dealer for advice/costs?

You already have a backup camera, and I think it's good enough.
Once you get familiar with your car's dimension then you probably don't need the parktronic.
For me I have backup camera and parktronic, but if I didn't I'll probably just opt for backup camera only.
Anyway, ENJOY YOUR RIDE.

Backup camera and program the passenger mirror for parking mode and you will be all set.
Parktronic & Active Bi-Xenon lighting are NOT after market things that you want to fool with.
Enjoy! You will be fine.

Thank you everyone, I really appreciate the advice. Sounds like more than I want to tackle on a project of my own. Great advice on programming the mirrors too.
Thanks! Great to be part of the GLK family.

Just drive around first, you may find you don't need parktronic. Don't ruin car's look.
I wanted parktronic at first as I drive in urban areas, but after a few months I don't see point of having one. In case where I need it would not help anyways.
