Carry Plywood on Roof Rails?

So what's the best way to carry and tie down a 4'x8' sheet of plywood on the roof rails? I really don't want to see my GLK's photo on the last page of Autoweek as a BWTM "Moving Miscue."

A $20 Home Depot truck rental is a better idea

Ya, I'm not sure it's the best way to go. You'll spend so much time trying to secure it that it's just not worth your time to do it that way.

Rent a pickup.

that's the reason I have a van to do the dirty work. If I see you do this on your GLK I'll slap you in the face with a white leather glove when I see you LOL! I rather get bruised and have wood splinters on my hands than the GLK's alum. rails getting scratched. Your hands can heal without costing you a cent, getting those alum rails refinished or replaced will cost you your hands.
