Memory card
I used a PCMCIA SD card adaptor on my GLK, I have a 32gb memory card with loads of songs in it, but i do not know why, some files do not appear on the comand system, but I can see them with my computer. I have tried to restore my memory card, but the problem still persist. Anyone has experienced that before? please share your thoughts.

Which adapter are you using?
The MB oem adapter can only handle up to 2gb sd cards.
Search for the SanDisk 6-1 adapter in the forums archives to learn about its expanded capacity handling.

I have a 32 GB card currently which works fine. Did you exceed either the 4,000 file or 255 folder limit? The 255 folder folder limit is particulalry inane, since it obviously stems from only allocating one byte to the number of folders.

Nope. Subfolders are the problem, not the solution. Subfolders are included in the folder count. I use folders for artists, and, since I have more than 255 artists, include some single-artist tracks in a catchall Misc folder. This means I can't put the album anywhere at all, really, and have had to jerk around with filenames to get the albums sorted properly for multialbum artists. The technology is so well implemented that it's a shame they implemented the software so badly.

A suggestion: Get the (free) program mp3tag. This program will allow you to rename the files on the memory card fairly easily. What I have done is to use artists as my folders (at least up to 255 of them) and then set as the filename: first letter of album name-track number-name of track-album name. It's not ideal, but at least every artist's albums are in order. (You will need to make some variant of this for albums by an artist which have the same first letter, but that's pretty easy with mp3tag as well.)
The further advantage of a 32GB card is that you have plenty of space to be duplicative. Thus, you can cut down to, say, 240 artists and have 15 folders left for custom playlists in which you just copy songs that you've already got into ready-made playlists. Again, it's not ideal, but it works.
Finally, you can of course have multiple cards and swap them in and out of the PCMCIA reader. The only problem here is that the defaults reset every time you take the card out and put it back in. So if you have gotten used to random play across your folders that has to be reset every time you take the card out and put it back in again.
