20" tire offset question
I am about to order 20" wheels for my glk350. I have already ordered 255/45/20 tires and had a quick question about the wheels.
My GLK is 4matic so should I avoid getting the 8.5/9.5 staggered set? If so should I go all 8.5 or all 9.5?
Thanks in advance.

Staggered has no effect on the 4Matic system. Only the total height of the wheel + tire combo should remain the same as stock to not throw off any sensors.

I put on the 255/40/R20 on my glk 8.5 in the front they will rub on the inner finder liner when making a u turn. Keep it the same I have tried doing what'd you are doing to much of a headache

Have you consulted any of the online tire calculators at places like TireRack, etc.? Can you return the tires if they are too big? Search this forum. There are numerous discussions about larger tires for the GLK. I seem to recall that 245/45-20 is the limit. Verify that. I could be wrong.

What size are your new tires? I am thinking of going to Nitto 420s 255/40R20 but what has me doubting about buying those is the rubbing on U-Turn. Is it really that bad to damage the in board fender?
