I've seen a couple posts where people talked about purchasing a used 7" LCD and COMMAND and installing it in their base GLK. However I haven't found anyone that has actually gone through and done it.

Anyone out there able to get that to work out? I'm hoping to be able to do this, and then install a backup cam (which I have seen people do). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tell it to translate from Chinese Traditional to English

It will say Done several times but will continue until you get it in English
That should be all you need.

Wow, that is a pretty tough read. Was hoping to find someone that had done it themselves on this forum. I found one old post with a guy that did it, and had some trouble with pins to the screen. Though he never posted if he got it resolved.

Where do these kids get the knowledge to do this? And you can bet he could do a BMW or Audi with the same expertise.

Very interesting. I have the base stereo/control, so I'd need to find a stand alone NAV unit... but nice to have that option... thanks!
