Rattle at Startup & Reverse
Hey guys. Just wanted to start a new thread for a new problem I have on my 2010 GLK with 35,000kms.
One in 3 "starts" I can hear a metallic rattle from the shifter area immediately after the car starts. If i then put the car in reverse, i can hear another metallic from the muffler area. It sounds like a heatshield issue or something. Once I get it fixed by the dealer i'll post an update but the dealer's so far I won't have time to really get it looked at for awhile.

Hey Guys, I finally had time to bring it in and the dealer said they had to "refit" the exhaust system cause;
a) a heatshield was loose
b) some parts of the exhaust was resting against the subframe
I've never hit anything and the dealer said there's no sign of me hitting anything so nobody knows what happened. Anyhow the noise is gone and i havn't been able to reproduct the "lifter noise" either which is odd. Happy Camper
