HOW TO: Install a Subwoofer?

Hey guys. First post.
Today I'm going to try and install two of my subwoofers into my GLK 350 (2012)
Are there any tutorials around, or could anyone post how to install one.

Thanks!

With a GLK 350 you've got tons for room. Buy a premade box covered in your carpet and shove some double 10" or 12" in it with about 1,000 watt amp and a good cross over.

Are you trying to rig into to a stock system (with a seperate amp) you'll need to locate the wires coming out of the head unit to the amp the carry the signal. Splice into these and then run them to the amp or the subs. You're stock system does not have enough power of the righ cross over to handle good subs. If the amp is integrated into your stock system, the sub woofer amp must be able to handle a signal that is already ampified.

I don't think the factory stereo can power subs. It's a bear adding another amp. Pulling the head unit to get at the wiring is a mother.
How about an amplified sub? Bazooka and Infinity make a good one. All you need to do is tap into the four wires running to the factory sub in the spare tire well (Harman Karden system), for switched power, tap into the 12VDC outlet in the driver's side rear and run a power wire from the battery to the hot wire on the amped sub.
With the Bazooka, make sure you buy the FAST wiring harness. Crutchfield will guide you.
Pretty simple and it sounds great.
Took my time and I spent about an hour.

Do a search.

There have been a few such projects and some of them have pretty extensive coverage.
