Looking to possibly buy a close-out 2012. Must have considerable incentives or will wait for new 2013 model.

Wait for 2013's MB usually does not give great discounts unless the car has been sitting for a while on their floor plan.

The downside of the 2013 is the column-mounted shifter... I really don't like that!

I used to not like the idea when it was introduced in 2007 but after having one I really like it because shifting between F, R, and P are really quick. Even faster than going through the gates on an older style auto. I also like how it frees up so much space on the center console for them to put more storage bins and other stuff. It's very practical.

Funny, the column shifter looks older to me, perhaps because they pre-date console shifters...

Better get prepared... this is where Mercedes is headed.... controls, shifters, buttons and that wood is all but GONE!!!!!!!!!!



Then after that its this Wii type interface, where the driver has NO real control, and ends up being just another passenger... it's called DICE or Dynamic & Intuitive Control Experience

Actually, there is no shifter of any kind visable in either of those photos!

SIRI and a CVT. Oh, and exterior airbags all over the front of the car by 2014 per EU regulation for pedestrian safety.
