plasti-dipped my GLK rims and grill

first time i plasti dipped so there is plenty of room for improvement I really like the look though it gives it more of an urban warrior element.

Great job. But I'm not a fan of the look. Looks like overdone brake dust to me.

With that look.... you probably don't need to clean your rims any more.

I like it!
I plasti-dipped my rims as well. You dont notice the brake dust as much, but its a lot harder to remove.

Do the rings around the fogs too, I did it on my 09 C class and it turned out nice..I just did it on the housing around my LED's on my GLK.

Looks good. But I wonder how well the dip will hold up after several washes. I assume wheel cleaner would damage the coating. I guess you should just use the car wash soap to clean the wheels.

Plasti-dip is a great thing lol idk how it holds up on wheels but on other stuff it holds up well through car washing and is easy to touch up.

thats what I was thinking...but its cheap canned spray paint. so it cant look terribly bad...I was thinking of plasti-dipping my front grill and keeping the mercedes logo chrome...I guess ill do that when Im bored next time.

Thanks for the photos and posts.. I am not a fan of all of the chrome upfront with the grille. The black grille I think has a euro look to it, which I really like so much more. So perhaps that is next on my list here soon! Thanks again and I will update with photos.

well, Im a huge fan of chrome...but that silver plastic its part of really hides it...the black contrast really makes the chrome sing...but to each their own. the all black is nice too...I would seriously recommend plasti-dip for its durability and protective properties as well as the ease of removing it if and when you ever get tired of it or becomes damaged for some reason.
