Very very slow
I am running 235/60/17.
I've got mine from MB dealer.
Some members in here bought their tires at Tire Rack and it's much cheaper.

Interesting. With that size you have a lot more choices, not to mention a little bit cheaper.

My all season tires are also 20 inches.
My winter tires are 17 inches. These tires were sold and recommended by MB.

It is Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow. I like it a lot.
Very grippy winter time.
More importantly....braking was good too.

rmfnla:
Yes it is a fashion thing.... for me anyway. .
It does give the GLK a different look.

No, you know -- for those of us who enjoy and/or require outings in the snow, it is a practical thing -- precluding mounting and dismounting tires every change of seasons. Plus, those of us with 20" rims will not easily find suitable winter tires, let alone studded ones for those rims. A smaller rim and narrower tire with higher sidewalls is better for snow, slush and winter potholes.

Plus, one gets to clean the brake dust and other sorts of junk from the inner side of the summer wheels, and then the winters.

montreal eh? you're going to get some dump of snow this season as the weather has been shifting into a different pattern.

I ordered the 17" Elbrus wheels w/ Blizzak WS70. The handling is awesome and perfect for mountain trips.

17" are recommended by MB for better snow handling.
You would want the GLK bite into the snow.

I'm running 235/60/17 Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow tires on MB rims. Bought them from MB when they had their yearly Winter Tire package sale. The Pirellis have very good grip, great for stopping, and the wear was minimal.

I just ordered a set of Enkei Performance Ammodo (19") with Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D's (235/50/R19) for my wife's GLK.

Here is the link to the wheel - http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...h=Hyper+Silver

I will try and post pictures when they arrive.

Mercedes GLK 220 CDI 4-Matic - 2011
I am running Nokkian Hakkapelittan R SUV - no spikes. Good grip for being non spike tires. You can feel the difference though when running on high speeds on highways on dry tarmac that the tires are soft for good grip. They are not as stable as summer tires at higher highway speeds.

Just picked up a set of 235/55-18 Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow, will run them on a cheap set of 18x8.5 inch aftermarket wheels.

Although I don't really need snow tires for around town (usually only a couple days of snow here a year) I go snowboarding/snow shoeing a lot up in the mountains and they are pretty much required there.

Probably. I originally planned to get 20 inch snow tires but when I saw that for the same price I could get 18 inch tires AND wheels it was an easy choice.
