2010 Mercedes Benz GLK220 4Matic BlueEfficiency
Question about fuel efficiency
I recently acquired a 2010 GLK220 4matic BlueEfficiency. I've filled it up all the way for the first time on Thursday (4 days ago). When I was driving on Friday (3 days ago), I noticed that the gauge dipped down between F and 3/4 full. Today is Monday (4 days after filling up) and I just drove it into the parking lot from the street and notice that it's at 3/4 now. Please keep in mind, I didn't do a lot of driving the past few days; just to work and back home which is around 15KM max and maybe around the same on both weekend days.
However, on my old car (2010 Renault Samsung SM3 1.6L-gasoline), after filling up, it would stay on F for at least 5 days.
Is this normal for a BlueEfficiency? Does the gauge drop slower near the middle? When I had the tank filled up to half, that would typically last about a week which is fine but I'm just surprised that it would drop from Full to 3/4 so quickly.
Would turning off ESP help?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Mercedes GLK 220 CDI 4-Matic - 2011
Hi!
I have the same car but a 2011. It averages about 8 l / 100km but I am then doing a lot of city driving. I think you should only check the consumption when filling up the car calculating by the distance covered and the amount filled up. That the needle moves can depend on temperature outside, if the vehicle is standing flat or uphill, downhill one side higher up etc.
