Bluetooth Issues

I've had a 2012 GLK for about 5 months now. When I turned on the car today as soon as the Bluetooth connected to my phone I lost sound to the Audio (radio/sat). When I take the Bluetooth off the audio comes back on but as soon as I reconnect the audio goes. Any ideas on how this could happen? I couldn't find anything in the owner's manual or command manual.

This happened to me as well...Here is how I fixed it

Your car blue tooth is currently synching to your phone media player, causing it to look for audio files on your phone instead of telephony. You need to disable this link. I suggest your clear out all your BT links then re-establish phone as the only device linked to your head unit. Refer to owner manual for these steps. Good luck.

Thank You BoxsterT

I reset the Bluetooth and everything looks to be working well. Thank you again for the advice.

You all are very welcome, here's one for you...

On my '11 GLK, the USB connection to my jump drive sometimes lose signal and the display goes "NO USB", I had to unplug and re-plug to have the drive recognized again. I currently rigged a longer USB extension to the driver side near my knee to make it easier w/o having to open the glove box. Any suggestion?

PS: I changed several brands of jump drives in various capacity and file sizes to no avail.

Does the '11 have an SDHC slot like the '13? They make 128GB SDHC Cards.

It has the iPod kit and USB connector in the glovebox.

So looked it up and you should have a PCMCIA card slot. You can get an adapter and any kind of memory card to use with the adapter. For instance here's an option:

Adapter:
Amazon Amazon

Memory Card:
64GB -
Amazon Amazon

This should work, but no guarantees.

Have you tried another USB extension cable? or plug your phone directly to USB port in glove box to eliminate then extension altogether.

I have had bad USB extension cable before.

That was going to be my suggestion as well.

Always test connectors first...

Obviously it's not common problem

Must be something else wrong, the extension cable not at fault because the original plug in glovebox had same issue please reread my original post but thanks guys!
