This is the left side rear tail light assembly plug from my 2013 GLK250. I tested all with a test meter and confirmed these. Very easy to check with a volt meter.

BTW, I installed 110177 which includes backup lights/solenoid as I have both a surge brake lock out solenoid as well as back up lights on my boat trailer.

https://www.etrailer.com/Wiring/Tekonsha/119177.html

The picture I took was the left side. The right side is the same in that the tail light wire is next to the pin with no wire, turn-brake is two over, and reverse is at the end opposite of where the pin with no wire is.

Good luck (if you haven't done it already). Was pretty easy.

Thanks for the guidance Slmskrs. I went ahead and connected to the wires at the locations suggested (after confirming with new voltage tester [old one drove me nuts because it was defective]); all worked exactly as needed. For future help of anyone with 2015 model year vehicle, please see below.

Many thanks again for your help

Anyone need a MB GLK350 trailer hitch?

Question Hitch Noise?

Hello Guys,

Has anyone experienced creaking noises coming from the hitch area when accelerating the car kind of hard in 1st and 2nd gear? I suspect the minor warping of the body which may occur in these circumstances may cause some rubbing with my aftermarket 3 point hitch. I do not think there is actual contact with any part of my exhaust. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

What hitch do you have that makes a creaking noise? I have had Draw-Tite on a 2014, and a Curt on a 2010. Neither make a creaking noise when loaded with a Thule 990 bike rack and 2 bikes. The Draw-Tite was very easy to install with no cutting and no GLK component removal. The Curt required dropping the rubber doughnuts on the exhaust and fishing some bolts into the frame members. The Curt side pieces need to be ground down a bit to clear the muffler, but I am told this is uncommon. If you have a Curt that may be the noise as you can see on mine there was no clearance with a hot muffler. Your muffler may move just enough to generate the creak.

Thumbs up Thanks for the reply

Many thanks for responding to my question. I actually have the Draw-Tite (75774) 3 point hitch, which I am pretty sure does not interfere with any part of the exhaust/suspension. I was just hoping someone had an answer for creaking noises due to minor warping of the car body, and the relative movement it causes with respect to the hitch (tied to the body of the car)./

Regards,

Which hitch has the most rust resistance? I'm not sure if oem does but in the rust belt, will the stock oem last as long or the curt and other hitch are as durable?

old thread but new question....my 2014 GLK350 has different color wire on driver side, last wire is not blue stripped its actually solid yellow.....also I noticed they are marked brake signal light on right side and same of left plus one marked tail light. the other picture in the thread is marked back up, turn signal, tail on the left. should i assume basically that i have a 4 port, so I need two wires on the drive side and just one on the passenger. That covers turn, tail, hazards, backup, brakes? Newbe, thank you

2015 GLK350 4matic
Folks who have hitches; do you like the brand you bought, and if yes, can you please post a picture? I've thought about adding a hitch to my 2015 GLK 350 4Matic, mostly to put on Thule bicycle rack, and to very occasionally tow my motorcycle on a trailer.

The only one I've seen that seems to blend in well with the look and aesthetics of the car was the e-trailers one (https://www.etrailer.com/vm/Mercedes...LK-Class/hitch), which also has quite a few pictures that helps give an understanding of how it'll look installed.

So please sound off; what brand did you like, didn't like and pics if you like it.

I installed the Westfalia hitch. It was not as bad as it looks but you can view the post of the project and a YouTube video I found very helpful. (https://mbworld.org/forums/glk-class...h-install.html)

Have any of you seen the trailer hitch that is actually in the bumper with a Mercedes cover? I have seen a few and cannot, for the life of me, find where I can buy the darn thing.....

GLK350
Just to revive an old thread after my install.

The pictures from CERNICAO1's post above worked perfectly for my 2013 GLK350. I also watched the eTrailer video (red GLK). Install went super easy. Instead of fishing the wire under the left and right side areas in the trunk, I just removed the tool kit (2 bolts) on the left side and the plastic compartments (2 bolts and 2 nuts) on the right side. That allows you to run the wiring without needing a way to fish under the plastic pieces. For the wheel well to the engine bay, I used a coat hanger to fish the wire up.

Tekonsha Harnes part 119190KIT

I believe the GLK in the video is older without the LED tail lights, so I disregarded the wiring portion. Again, for 2013 - 2015 the pics above are spot on. For earlier without LEDs, I'm guessing the video's wiring is correct The remainder of the install is identical.
