My guess is 7 inches, let us know when you get the measurement.

PS I also did KP at the Last Supper. Saw Wayne there. He was dishwasher and I was DRO.
2012 GLK350. I manually folded the drivers side mirror. The reduction in extension from the body is barely noticeable. My calibrated eyeball quesstimated 1 1/2" to 2" MAX. I'm being generous.Originally Posted by 3.5L

3.5L - Nice to be in good company. Everybody should have to do that at least once. That is exactly how often I had the pleasure. Fort Benjamin Harrison. 1969. Amazing that we had the privilege on the same day.

BTW, my 3.5" measurement was with the mirrors extended. I've never tried folding mine, so I just assume they do

Whoa! Small world. I was in Worms, Germany from May, 1969 to Jan, 1970. I guess you were in Vietnam by then.Originally Posted by 3.5L

I was in Germany from January of '68, until February of '69. I thought I would be in Germany much longer, but got "surprise" orders. Anyway, my outfit was in Hanau (about 15 clicks NE of Frankfurt) and later moved south, I think, to Babenhausen. Beautiful area, actually.Originally Posted by venchka

I like your Last Supper comment so much that I've adopted it as my standard response to those who ask how old I am

Anyway, retired the end of last year. Life is good.

"D.R.O. at the Last Supper." sounds much better than "Older than dirt." It's like a private club. If you were there, you get it. Everybody else says, "Huh?" Originally Posted by 3.5L
