Hey thanks guys. We just wanted to build something a little different. I'll get started pretty soon on the wheels and I need to measure the mounting holes on the front and rear calipers to see if any of the other models share any of the suspension/ braking components such as calipers and rotors as I plan to build some BBKs for the front and rear unless I can get some brembo/Amg calipers to bolt up if not I'll mill some brackets.

Not my cup of tea.
Having lived through the color-matching fad of the '80s it just looks dated to me now.
I do like the look of no badges; I took mine off, but I did leave the star.
To each their own... enjoy!

I would have to agree with rmfnla, i think you went over board. It would've looked so much better with a little less "black" but as everyone says we may differ in taste. Enjoy it!

So I finished all the wheels today and I get the tires mounted tomorrow. My choice for tires were the new Falkens FK 453's 255/35/20. I'll post some pics up after I get everything back and cleaned up.

DAMN that looks good. Been looking into getting one. Yours is a looker. I wanted one with all the black details too lol. Those wheels in black will look so money. Have you looked into getting the amber reflector removed from the headlight housing? Black out all the chrome in there too

So I finished all the wheels up. I figured since I was going to remove all the wheels I might as well put the H&R lowering springs in until I can source some coilovers. Tomorrow its gets an alignment and then off to get a custom stainless exhaust made. I may have to smoke the head lights....Here's a few pics-Enjoy

Next on my list is to install the Smerc strut brace when it shows up in a few days. then I plan to concentrate on the brakes since I think Glk lacks in the braking department.
I plan to upgrade to crossdrilled rotors, better pads and stainless steel ines and replace the fluid. If that don't cut it I'll just build a nice 8 pot set up for the front and 4 pot set up for the rear.

I finished up a custom stainless exhaust. After I source the new flanges and some high flow cat's we'll do the front section from the header back to what we have already done. We did a 2.5" dual resonator back exhaust with a dual in/out stainless high flow muffler to some nice oval/squareish tips that I powder coated black and they fill up the rear valance. My wife loves it because its not raspy like the our friends GLK that has renntech mufflers. The GLK has a nice low deep growl to it now.
My buddy Dan powder coating the tips gloss black for me.
Sorry the tips and GLK are dirty it has been raining like crazy here.
Sorry it took me so long to get the sound clip up, now I need to do another one since its broke in now.

I also installed the Smerc front upper strut bar. I'll snap a few pics soon as I don't like that it smashes down the rubber seal that goes around the engine bay. So I may make a few slits and run the bar through the center of it v/s cutting some slots out of it for the bar to sit in.
