Stability control on for no reason?

I was driving today and made a left turn at a light. Halfway through the turn the car felt like it lost power and would not accelerate any more. After the turn the car would only do about 25-30 on the straightaway. I did notice the yellow light with the exclamation point flashing. Then out of no where the car swerved left and right rapidly as I believe it was braking individual wheels to try and compensate for what it believed was some unsafe condition. Anyone had this happen or have any clues as to what might have triggered it?

Yes my wife reported this happened to her last night. The yellow triangle was flashing, she was not under heavy acceleration or otherwise, and dry straight road.
I thought the wheel may have hit oil or something, but nothing like that.
Going to dealer to see whats up. Will report back. Anyone else?

So DGI, what happened when you took it to the dealer? I have been a bit too busy to take it in.
