Auto lights problem

Hey everyone,
I have a 2011 GLK350, my lights are always on auto and I never had a problem, it works when it starts to get dark outside and turns off when its sunny. Yesterday I installed new tints and my lights have been on since, also when its sunny. Before that my car was normal also with tints but I'm not sure what happened now with the new tints. Any ideas? Thank you.

Very very slow
I think you had the tint a bit too dark, enough to fool the sensor thinking it's dark outside.

I think she did.
That's probably what caused the issues.

Yes I did, the older tint was black and had no issues, this tint is chrome, I'm guessing that's the reason. Thanks

Yes that might be the reason, I'll return to the older tint in a few weeks.

Just wanted to update this thread because we were all right, the previous tint was chrome and it confused the sensor making it think its night so the lights open. I'm back to my old tint (black) and everything is back to normal.
