2013 GLK. About 6 weeks old. 1200 miles.

Yesterday had a rough start. Engine was cold (in LA, so 60 degrees). RPM's were bouncing between 400 and 900. Felt like the engine was going to stall. Gave it a little gas and it resolved.

Anyone else have this? This happens periodically in my A4, so I'm not terribly worried. I always use top tier 91 octane. I wonder if this winter blend of California gas is to blame.

 

Mine does this more times than I like really. Mine is a '13 with 5K on it. I can't dupicate it with any certainty so I can't really bring it in to the dealer.

 

It's a huge hassle, but have you thought of recording a video with your cell phone daily? Eventually you'll catch it.

 

Do take it to the dealer. There may be a software update available, or if enough people complain they may write one. My 2012 had an update done about 2 months ago for the transmission.

 

What was the transmission doing for you to take the dealer?

 

I have a 2013 GLK with 2000 miles. Never had a rough start. I've started it when it was 30 degrees and no issues, never felt it was going to stall.

 

mine had done it a bunch of times and actually stalled once...
