So in the 2013 you have your ipod in the center consol, sitting on the bottom, with cords kinda bunched up with it. But you still have a lot of vertical room. Seems awkward to throw extra stuff in there on top of your ipod.

There's a mini shelf of plastic halfway up on the driver's side that looks like it was meant to have something sitting on it. Maybe a false bottom? Any solutions you've come up with?

I would just put my music on an SD card and not bother with the iPod.

I use Bluetooth Streaming and put the phone in the cupholder or leave it in your pocket since you can see texts on the screen anyways.

It's a 160GB ipod - won't fit on SD card. Plus you don't have the easy integration with itunes. Bluetooth is awesome for streaming spotify or pandora, but if you wanna bounce around and change playlists or albums you have to pick up and fiddle with the phone (big no-no especially with a newborn in the car)
