Steering wheel question...
So i was at the local mercedes dealership and I had the opportunity of sitting inside the new SLS and after i was drooling all over the interior I noticed that the steering wheel on the SLS looks awfully similar to the one in the GLK...with the flat bottom and real leather feel really made me want one in my GLK.
Does anyone here know of an aftermarket or an OEM replacement SLS style wheel and or have any of you done such a thing?
im sure the C class people out there have done something similar...
heres what I mean:

From the C-forum (I had a C until a few months ago), changing to the 2013 wheel requires changing the steering column.
Changing to the AMG wheel is straight plug-and-play, but they cost like $1300. The airbag is different and requires the wheel and the airbag.
The AMG wheel has paddles, they won't work if your GLK didn't come with paddles.
Once in a blue moon you can find one from a junkyard where the airbag didn't deploy.

its what I figured....I would be happy with the same steering wheel but with a flat bottom and leather honestly...if it has paddles i wouldnt care...my wheel has a speaker button and its non functional as is, so non functioning paddles would be something else to play with...now off to the luxury junk yard i guess...lol
I wanted to do that with my C, but *I* couldn't justify the funds (everyone's tolerance is different, however).

I've got a cover on already that's what keeping me quiet to be honest, thanks for the suggestion. I saw this thread and figured it might work but I guess I'm better off with the cover!
