Air heater/conditioner is not blowing - help
When I have air conditioner = on, sometimes it just stops blowing. All indicators and lamps are working, I can increase/decrease imaginary air flow, but nothing comes out of the vents (or sometimes there is very light, barely sensible flow).
Usually, I fixed it very quickly by slapping under the front passenger panel with my hand (yeah, the place where cabin filter is located). And air flow could work momentarily again, like, bam, and everything blows to its full power. But not today. Today I tried to knock, bump around the cabin filter - nothing helped.
Sometimes, when I have air flow intensity set to the third mark from the left, I can sometimes hear very tiny, squeaking sound of spinning air ventilator. I guess it could be loose a little. I don't know if it can cause the issue.
My guesses:
1. loose air vent for the conditioner.
2. loose cabin filter (non-original, I replaced it myself, bought at ebay).
My feeling is that there is something loose, so I guess there is a trigger somewhere which stops the air flow from going. So once I bump under the panel, air flow turns on immediately. But I could be easily wrong. Any ideas?
Try to remove the cabin filter for a day or two to see if the problem is still persisit.
It the problem is still there after you remove the cabin filter, then I'd look at the connections to motor (around the same area you slam/slap to get it to work before).
