diesel engine hard to maintain?
Hi:
I'm thinking to get a GLK, most likely will get the bluetec,
before I really to buy the diesel engine model, is there anyone who own one here can tell me something about it?
is the diesel engine hard to maintain? timing belt/chain etc..
or maybe like bmw diesel engine, which needs big treatment while 60k miles.
any big job need to do to it after a while?
please give me an idea..

Short answer, no.
It has a timing chain.
No big service, just replace fuel filter every 20,000 miles.
FYI, they use this engine in TAXI's throughout Europe. And they take the beating.
