Hey everyone,
My daily driver is a 2011 GLK350 with almost 32,000 KM on it. I loved the car from the first day i got it 2 and half years ago. The seats were never a real issue, i did suffer back pain several times but it was never consistent. The past 2 or 3 months i've been suffering constant pain in my back i'm not sure if its the position i sit in or the steering wheel is too far or it's just the GLK seats? Anyone here with the same issue or is it just me? I own other cars and don't suffer pain so that made me think its the car. Also my GLK doesn't have the seat memory option so if someone borrowed my car and changed the seating position it is hard for me to go back to how it used to be.
Any input would be appreciated, thank you.

I have a 2013 GLK 350 and I feel the seats are too hard. I had a 2010 Lexus HS250 before the GLK and those seats were really comfortable. They were soft and hugged you from all sides. The GLK is not terrible, but much harder and after a long drive my back is really stiff.

My Prius was terrible on the seat comfort, no lumbar or ability to raise and lower seat, just forward and back. They have slightly improved the seats on the new Prii.
I find the 2013 GLK very comfortable. I like the lumbar feature, but in the beginning I had put it on a little to much. I think you might have to re-adjust this every now and then.

My 2011 C300 seats are way more cushy and more comfortable. Whenever I drive that car I wonder why my GLK seats are harder. But the MB Tex feels the same, maybe it's the foam and shape?

No mystery why seats are stiff. Just a stamped piece of sheet metal with a 1 inch or less moulded high density foam. Seats no longer have springs and don't adapt to you when you sit - your body has to adapt to the preset shape of stamped metal. take a look under the seat. Now sit in any pre 2000 mercedes and you will feel a huge difference. I love my GLK but personally think the seats are way too cheap for the car, Euro version GLKs had options for better sport seats but again not US versions.

I've found the GLK's seats are firm but I don't mind.
I don't like the seats that are too soft.
On long trips, I felt tired but never stiff or sore when I am driving the GLK.
I do have seat memory, I think it helps a little.
