Never replaced the dome lights, but, for the license plate lights, just use a small screwdriver and insert on the indented side of the clear plastic and pop the cover off.... Replace bulb and snap plastic cover back in.

If you know what the light output you want and the configuration of the base of the bulb, check out some of the marine supply companies on the WEB. There are a great many low current high brightness LED bulbs available, because sailboat owners are always trying to reduce the battery draw since they run the engine so infrequently. These bulbs may be physically better due to the harsh environment of salt water sailing and the continuous high impact of power boating.
