Post Are all Premium fuels created equal?

Wanted to everyone's input on which premium fuel is considered best to use? I want to eliminate the potential for carbon build-up due to DI.

Everyone here has different opinion on fuel brand and grade. Stick with the recommended fuel rating and if you can find a gas station that offers no ethanol additive on it use that one. Here in Canada, specially in the Vancouver area, only Shell offers 91 grade without ethanol so I use that one.

I used Costco gas for the first month of ownership with my GLK, my car stalled, since then I've used Shell V-Power exclusively and have had no issues for the last 11 months! Just saying

Costco has pretty decent gas. Most of the "GAS" itself is the same, but it's the additives that each company mixes in the makes the difference. With my experience Shell has been the best.

As mentioned, the additive package is what makes the difference in any grade of gasoline. When on the road, I utilise Chevron (for its Techron) or Shell. Around home I buy my gas at Safeway but twice a year I run a large bottle of the Chevron Techron (not Progard) through the system. Never have had any problems with the fuel system on various cars. Do remember to replace the fuel filter! So many people fail to do that bit of maintenance.
