Iphone 5 updates?
Does anybody know if Mercedes releasing the iPhone 5 cable anytime soon? I got the adapter form apple, but it doesn't seem to be working. only charging.
I would appreciate if anybody has an update regarding that.

What adaptor are you using? If you plug the regular cable into the USB port it will only charge and say the device is unreadable. But, if you have the media cable with the iphone4 adaptor you can buy the iphone5 adaptor that connects with the iphone4 cable and you'll get full functionality. But be aware that I think it's only worth it if you use iTunes exclusively, if you use spotify often and maybe most other music apps it gets clunky, in that case I'd stick to Bluetooth.

Not the answer you're looking for, but I use the bluetooth connection and it works the same as media interface. I can play music from my phone using the incar radio and forward, rewind, etc... I do have a 30 pin to the iphone 5 adapter and it does give me media interface capability, but it's easier to use bluetooth, as it just starts playing from my phone as soon as I hit "Disk" on the dash. BTW, you should use the apple adapter. I bought a cheap knockoff online and it charged but didn't interface. The apple one works.

This might be a dumb question but if you're streaming music via Bluetooth and a call comes in on your phone, does the call still come through the car Bluetooth or is it overridden by the music?
