If so is all working with the GLK, ours is not here for another 4 weeks (give or take) and i'm just wondering if i'm going to run into any issues...

I have an iPhone 5s and it works exactly the same as iPhone 5 did in terms of my 2013 GLK. You should have no issues. The only annoying thing is the stupid "Trust" popup that comes up every time I connect the iPhone through USB.
