Question re keyless go and rear liftgate opening
Hello --
My wife and I are considering purchasing a GLK. We're renting one now, and like it. It does not have the keyless go option, however.
Our question is -- if you have keyless go, and walk up to the rear liftgate with the fob in your pocket, can you simply press under the handle of the liftgate to cause the liftgate to automatically open? I'm assuming the car will unlock when you press under the handle, but will the liftgate sense your press and automatically engage the liftgate motor and cause it to rise?

The doors remain locked, but the tailgate opens. When you close it again, it remains locked.
The doors don't unlock until you put your hand inside the handle.
I love Keyless-GO, it's so nice to never even have to touch the key, just have it in my pocket.
