Ski Rack Questions
Hello,
I have the OEM roof rack (204-890-15-93) and I'm looking for some ski rack things. Would any of these work?

Thanks

Couple of thoughts.
First, for years I carried my skis on racks. In the type of weather you get when traveling to ski areas the silt from the roads gets on skis and bindings. With covers you get wind flap even if you put velcro or rubber bands around them. I typically ski with only one other person so I moved my skis inboard. I couldn't believe the increase in fuel mileage when I got all the extraneous stuff off the roof. The bonus was the bindings and skis stayed clean. Particularly the silt in the bindings was concerning to me.
If you are forced to carry on the roof, which I'm not, one seatback down and our currently popular short skis fit fine crosswise in the back. If I were to buy a rack for mine it would likely be a Yakima. Their design reduces the noise from the wind turbulence and that reduction will likely give you better mileage.
I've never seen nor heard of the racks referred in your links.

I have my good ole Thule Racks that i will be transferring to my GLK during my annual Thanksgiving morning Ritual.
I have to purchase the Cross Bars first, but will post the results when i am finished.
I have traveled countless miles with all of my ski's up on the rack and never had an issue with damage to my gear.
