Still overall not a bad deal.

I am not going with winter tires. We don't get the snow you get, GLK won't be a daily driver and will spend good part of winter a lot further South!

Anyone have any recoomendations for a roof top spare tire carrier. I found this one on-line. Thinking of something along these lines, mainly for long trips:

Hmnnnnn....it ruins the look of the MB. Is there anything that could hook up to the trailer hitch?

You are right. Just trying to come up with something just for long trips when we need the space inside the car.

Hitch mount is possibility, but I think it is only a 1 1/4" . We also have a hitch mounted bike rack.

Once I get car, I might look to see if tire mount could be added to bike rack, bu I suspect there may be too much side leverage on the hitch.

But if it is good enough for a Rolls, maybe it would be acceptable on a Benz too
