noisy brakes....
since the weather has turned cold -30 C or so the brakes on our GLK250 have become about as loud as a warning siren, while not so bad on the inside of the car being outside will require hearing protection. Has anyone else seen (heard) this issue. I'm thinking I may need to stop in at the dealership over the next few weeks if it doesn't go away...

I have same problem now on my e-Class - Brakes are new and self installed, so I guess I know who has to fix them! (A little anti-squeal paste on caliper piston/pad inderface and perhaps sand surface of pads)

Ours are pretty noisy too, but I think it's the cold weather and the fact that this vehicle engine brakes so efficiently that the brakes don't get a hard application too often to clean them off.

Pads float MOL against the rotors. On a dry day with no traffic nearby & no one with you, preferably on a multi lane highway, do a hard or panic stop from whatever the posted speed limit. It should alleviate the problem.
