GLA45? What about GLK??

Hey everyone,

I just read about the GLA45 in another forum, i really wish there was a bigger engine for the GLK, a V8 or even a turbocharged V6 like the new C400 2015. I honestly don't like the styling of the GLA at all, i am just interested in a bigger engine for the GLK. What do you think?

Yeah - the entire CLA/GLA novelty has worn off for me.
It lasted a whole 1 hour after I test drove the CLA. Cheap & very entry level quality.
The GLA reminds me too much of a Subaru & I don't think will be any further from the CLA.

To me V8's are passe in this 21st century & Turbo 6's are derigeur.
But if the rumors of the new GLK resembling a baby M is true, then I will move on to the next good looking SUV - whatever that may be.

Two cars AMG missed opportunities with is the GLK and E coupe, AMG versions of both would be in my sig if they were available (or become available in the future).

Exactly, i would own the AMG version of the GLK in a heartbeat. The new generation GLK doesn't look as good as the current model, i need to see it in person to decide but now I'm happy with my car.

Rental car
GLA

A few weeks ago I saw a GLA in red being tested and it looked brilliant. Its got the body of the A-class. I've driven both the CLA and the A-class and the A-class is a much better vehicle with more interior room than the CLA.
I think they would have to removed too much that's good about the GLK to make it fast.

Thus the dilemma - 2015 Macan S or GLA45?

I guess I still have a little over a year to play wait and see (current GLK250 lease will be up next June, or March if I stay with MB, hehe...)

The Porsche can be had for around $62-65K when configured to my liking. Not sure what the price point of the GLA45 would be. God I so wish they'd make a GLK45 (with the current body style though, I agree the next gen looks ugly)!

I am positive a bigger engine would be offered to the GLK within a few years maybe, since smaller models (GLA/CLA/A) already have faster engines.

The macan looks good and its a porsche so the quality and the interior is great! However, my next car wouldn't be another jeep i usually don't sell my cars at all. I would want to keep my GLK and get a 2015 C63. This would be my ideal situation.
