2015 GLA45 AMG - Official Pics - Would you???
Thanks to the combination of standard-fit performance-oriented AMG 4MATIC all-wheel-drive and the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission it accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited). The GLA45 AMG does not fail to impress and thanks to its tiny AMG 2.0-litre turbo engine, that delivers a more than adequate 360hp and 331 lb-ft of torque transferred to the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system via a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT transmission. It will even sip just 7.5 litres per 100 kilometres of fuel. Quite incredible given the performance figures of the car. Mercedes say the GLA 45 AMG is the third vehicle with four-cylinder turbo engine to appeal to a young target group, in addition to the A45 and CLA45 AMG’s.

Actually, I suspect they would price it a little below the Mecan S to cannibalize sales from Porsche.
Also, I kinda like it, would be a better suited child hauler than my C63 currently is.

Are you sure that is not a Nissan Juke with a different grill slapped on it? MB and Nissan did announce a joint venture last year....

Not sure abt the transmission though. And the size / interior accommodation.
But looking at how CLA starts at 48k and the Macan S at 50k, the GLA offering more performance than the Macan S and being in the same ballpark, I'd think, if it comes in at 48k, it'll steal sales. Also, looks like the GLA is smaller and 500 lbs lighter than the Macan S.
Also, options on the Porsche are steep (typical).
a similarly equipped GLA45 will probably run much lower than the Macan S.

Isn't it planned that the CLA in the near future will actually be built by Nissan in their new plant in Mexico and Nissan will be able to sell their own car based on the CLA. In that case is the CLA a rebadged Nissan? I got to play with a CLA45 the other week and from the looks of the materials inside it is very "Nissan" feeling with plastic everywhere.

I personally see a huge resemblence in the new CLA and the Infinity Q50, although MB denies they share anything my neighbor works for Nissans Corporate Parts division and he said they do share some parts bin parts.

Didn't really mind it when I first saw it at the LA auto show this year. Gotta say it looks a lot cleaner without the boy-racer sticker they had on the model at the auto show and the interior is killer.
