Comand or Audio 20?
Hi,
How can I tell if my multimedia console is the "Comand" model or "audio 20" model?
Or am I getting this wrong? I noticed there might differences between different models and I want to get this straight ...

Without going into a lot of detail...
5" screen = Audio 20,
7" screen = Command (or will at least allow options such as backup camera... etc: both can come with CD boxes, some media connections

After asking the question and further trying to reach into this (in other forums, such as w204) I still have issues understanding this..
For instance, my x204 has a 5" screen - though I have an aftermarket backup camera installed (and operating automatically while going into "R"). However, engineering mode says nothing about "camera installation".
What I guess is I have the Audio20 and the backup camera is simply attached via a Fakra to RCA convertor?
Can I attach any other video extensions to my Audio20? (such as a DVD, or android miracast?)
Can I attach an aftermarket backup camera that gives me dynamic lines??

Hmm.... As I have an Audio 20, I would love to know how yours is hooked up. Perhaps you have what's labelled 'Nav + 4'. Do you have navigation? You've got me real interested on your backup camera with a 5" screen....

So I guess I have to open the console (or get it to the shop so they could explain it to me) and report back to you guys..
I assume I have something that is similiar to that NAV +4 interface? allowing for external video inputs?
(according to how to initially responded, I can assume Audio20 default doesn't accept backup cameras?)

If you have Comand the system will title screen "Comand" when starting up every time. You didn't mention this so I would bet you don't have Comand and instead have Audio20.

Hey I know I am pretty much going off the topic here but I really wanted to know if my ntg4/4.5 system in my e class 2014 facelift can be changed with the new audio 20 ntg5.1. The new system has a high resolution 7 inch screen, garmin navigation and also lets you add official reverse camera to your car. Where I live we don't have comand online thus I cannot retrofit a comand unit but I really want to know if the new audio 20 system can be fitted in my car as it's available in the new e class models now.
