Does anyone know how to remove the wood trim behind and around the steering wheel as in the picture above? I will be installing a remote starter from first tech which is pretty much the same as the midcity engineering and compustar remote starter for our vehicles. In the instructions it says i need the EIS remover does that mean i don't need to remove the wood trim or do i still have to?
Help? Thanks!

'ALLDATADYI.com' lists how to do it.. Unfortunately I have tried to copy in the past and the pics etc get screwed up! so can't do it.
Basically you must remove the center and left side vents. Unclip center cover of media screen. Then remove transmitter key from electronic ignition lock control unit. Then the 3 trim pieces (around wheel) will unclip.
If doing the right side large wood/aluminum trim, then remove center and right side vents. Slightly lift trim strip in left area, slide in direction of arrow(slide left) and remove trim strip.
IMPORTANT: USE PLASTIC TRIM REMOVAL TOOLS available at most Auto shops... OR YOU WILL HATE YOURSELF!!!
