Um, about your car/truck thingie...
First off, the stock audio system blows away the Harman Kardon Logic 7 in the W221. Loved it. Plus it had Bluetooth audio that worked great every time, and gave song info on the speedo display. S Class...no BT audio at all.
Ride quality is excellent too. Not as soft or serene as the S, but firm and sporty without being harsh. Very quiet and composed, and much more willing than the S to be tossed around.
Overall a very impressive machine that managed to get under my skin a little in the very short time I had it. I was a little bummed when the called to tell me the S was ready.
Totally agree with you on the Evoque's rear visibility. Absolutely ridiculous.
I put 250,000 miles on each of 2 MB S sedans and probably saw the service bay only for regular maintenance, a new starter and a vacuum pump (they were diesels). I have owned 3 more MB's and have yet to experience 1/10 the problems of any one of the Land Rover/ Range Rover products.

).Range Rovers are immensely popular here in SoCal, and it always amazes me that people smart enough to make the $$ to buy one are stupid enough to buy one.
Buy an Evoque and rear visibility will be the least of your problems...
