It looks really good Scadobe.
Try paddle shifts and report back if you don't mind.
Also, how much did you have to pay for all this. (If you don't mind)

I'm happy with it, will try paddles as soon as I know what to do with them. The wheel was $1,250 (including airbag, there's an option for an AMG leather airbag), $150 for new contact plate, $450 for steering column, included new switch so rear wiper worked, Seller was zh.k on EBay http://www.ebay.com/usr/zh.k?_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2754, , $125 for 1 hour installation.

Shifter paddles do nothing. I clicked the plus side, nothing, put car in S mode, no difference. Not sure how to use them, no biggie, my lights work at night, that's more important to me.

Did you try to put the shifter in manual mode ? (nudge shift lever to the left when it's on D), then try the paddle shifter.

I really don't know if it works or not but it's worth a try.

so... a few things I`ve heard back from various places. first of all, the stealership told me the ML AMG steering wheel will cost me $3500, and an another shop in OC got back to me saying that the steering wheel would fit mechanically, but there will have to be some electric work done to it.

so then. it is possible!

Scadobe,

Can you please list the part number of the 2012 C Class Steering Column Module and where you got it from? Pictures will be greatly appreciated.

I am retrofitting a 2012 C Class Flat Bottomed Steering Wheel and Airbag to my 2011 W204 C350 and they are coming in the next few days. I heard the button funtions work but lights might not and obtaining that module will work. Thank you very much.

RJE,

http://www.ebay.com/usr/zh.k?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

Ask this guy on ebay, he sold me mine. It may run around $450 though, he shipped it out of Reno, NV had within 3 days even though he's in Germany.

Actually a lot of qualified workshops refused to do that to avoid lawsuit of incompatibility or even not deploying the airbag in case of an accident. I bought the almost exactly same OEM steering wheel on ebay and nobody so far would like to help me install it. I ended up returning the steering wheel.
