Fine scratches around Nav screen - how to remove?
I detailed the interior of my GLK350 today and must have put alittle too much pressure on my microfiber towel just around the Nav screen. I put some really fine scratches on the glossy black plastic in one little area.
What suggestions for taking these out?
I have some Griot's Fine Hand Polish and was thinking of applying it with just my finger, since it's in a really tight space. Might not be a good idea though, so I'm all ears and open to suggestions. These scratches are going to drive me bananas until I fix them.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I think I would try using some of that plastic polish they use for polishing the headlight plastic. The Griot's stuff, if it's designed for paint, will use too harsh an abrasive, even if it's fine and leave your screen cloudy - making you even madder.
Another thought would be to go to a store that specializes in plastic items. They usually carry a very fine plastic polish designed to not scratch. The screen is soft, as you discovered, and you can't be too careful.

There are plastic polishes made for the screens of older cell phones, polishes made for the plastic windshields of light aircraft, and general plastic polishes.
The phone stuff can be found on the internet and I have had good luck with them on plastic watches and old phones like Motorola's. The aircraft stuff can be found on the net and also at West Marine, and the general stuff at www.Mcmaster.com.
