Weathertech Cargo mat

Weathertech Cargo mat
This mat does not fit firm from side to side and fits like ****.
I got lucky and the dealer let me return it after the fitment was garbage.
I ordered the Mercedes cargo liner for the same price and fitment is perfect.

So you have a cargo mat and then put the seats down...doesn't that make it difficult to slide large objects in and out if there is a raised part that runs up against the back of the seats? I want a cargo mat that covers the whole surface with the seats down.

Mercedes (and possibly Weathertec) sell a reversible cargo mat (no edges) Smooth on one side, rubbery on other.
I bought a roll of trunk liner from autoparts store. Cost about $15 for enough to do cargo area. Could do same for back of seatbacks when flat. But would need to attach to seatbacks or otherwise store extra piece when seats are up.

I have the Weather Tech cargo mat in tan & it's great! Fits well, lips around the perimeter with a lower lip on the pass. side where there is a well. When the GLK first came home, I did not like the black trim in the cargo area as it was like looking into a black hole. The tan mat (OEM only in black) takes care of the problem & it is a close match in colour to the almond MB-Tex interior.

Agreed. Although I can see a scenario where I have the oem mat and then have some pieces shaped from rubber that I can store with the spare tire and pull out as needed when I lay the seats down. That might be the best approach.

The Weather Tech mat lip is flexible which allows me to slide items over it when the back seat is down. When I need to protect the back seat when down I utilise a tarpaulin but I rarely have a need.

I had a chance today to look at an MB tray with turned up edge on a friend's GLK.
That tray/mat wouldn't work for us. The lip at the back would soon get damaged when we slide in our luggage or golf clubs. Same with front lip when seats are down.
For our use, a flat mat is best. For now our home made one works. But I would like to see the MB reversible mat first hand.

I prefer the Weather-Tech designed the way it is. If a spill happens, the well on the right could take the liquid but the OEM covers the well. Guess if you want another gun pocket, the OEM is the way to go. IF the OEM was available in a colour other than gray, I might consider it. I really like the quality & the colour of the aftermarket.

I bought the weather tech trunk liner for our 2014 E 350. I think it fits awesome. I am thinking of the floor mats for winter. Does anyone else have them and do they wrap up the driver side where one rest their foot on the left?
